Decrease Pain, Move Better with StretchLab
Don’t take it from us. Take it from the Washington Post. As reported by health and wellness columnist Gretchen Reynolds, “If your body is flexible, you’re likely to live longer than someone whose body and joints are tight and rigid, according to the first, large-scale study of the links between flexibility and mortality.”
In the study by Claudio Gil S. Araujo, 3,139 men and women between ages 46 and 65 completed an evaluation of overall flexibility. Researchers followed them for more than a decade. They found that people with the stiffest joints — especially women — were substantially more likely to die prematurely than those with greater flexibility.
Assisted stretching decreases pain, improves posture and mobility, and increases longevity. Lance Lira, who owns Nature's Presence and is featured in the photo above, said " I give it a 10 out of 10 - it's great!"

There’s Fun to Be Had Indoors (But Outside Your Home)
Are your kids complaining about the cold? Are they bouncing off the walls? Are you going crazy? If you answered yes to any of those (or think you might by the end of this week), then check this out.
When it’s too cold to play outside, Boerne still has plenty of fun options for kids. From the indoor playground at Arrows Active Play Park to retro arcade games at Hamby’s and storytime at the Patrick Heath Public Library, there’s something for everyone.

Historic Landmark Committee Meets Today to Discuss Signage
The Historic Landmark Commission meets today, Tuesday, January 7, at 5:30 PM at City Hall, 447 N. Main Street.
A key agenda item is the proposal for a new monument sign at Tutu’s Garden, featuring dark sky-friendly lighting to preserve Boerne’s beautiful night skies. Tutu’s Garden is located at 302 South Main St. Some of you may know it as the business that replaced Boerne Wine Company.
Community members are encouraged to attend and share their input. You can also watch online.
