PLANNING AND ZONING COMMITTEE DENIES REQUEST

Developer Must Go Back to the Drawing Board

Last night, the Planning and Zoning Committee met to consider a zoning change request from a developer for a new subdivision, The Birch at Spencer Ranch, off 46 on the West side of I-10. The developer was wanting to change to R2-Medium Density Residential Zoning, which would have allowed 2.82 lots per acre.

The request was denied over multiple concerns from the committee such as traffic safety on that stretch of 46, and will now go before City Council on a future date. You can watch the meeting and find out all the details here.
