IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Good morning, Boerne. This is The Boerne Life, the newsletter that has a case of the Mondays, which means no joke for you this morning. But don’t worry, we DO have plenty of events for you this week!
So let’s take a look. 👀

How long has it been since you had a massage? Too long for us. That’s why we are calling TODAY to get on their schedule of our friends at Massage Heights Boerne.
If your neck and shoulders ache, you wake up tired even after a full night’s sleep, your to-do list never ends, or your mind just won’t stop racing, it might be time for a massage. A single session can help restore balance, ease tension, and give you the reset you need to take on whatever life brings.

MASTER CRAFTSMANSHIP, MUSEUM-QUALITY RESULTS ✨

When you see the world-class work coming from Texas Treasures Frame Shop & Gallery, you’ll see why Boerne trusts Johny Rosa and his team with their most meaningful projects. Every frame is built by hand, with over 2,000 design options and more than 70 years of combined experience guiding each piece.
From honoring veterans with custom displays, to preserving heirlooms like a great-grandfather’s firearm, to stretching and framing an oversized canvas that wouldn’t even fit in the client’s car — no project is too unique.
Sean and Gwen, their skilled framers, bring passion and precision whether it’s a shadowbox, a 3D zebra mount, or family keepsakes.
And when it’s time to bring that masterpiece home, they don’t just hand it over... they’ll deliver and install it for you too if you'd like. 🖼️
We’re proud to partner with Johny and his team to present their brand of skilled craftsmanship and old-fashioned customer service to Kendall County.

BOERNE’S LOST SKY BRIDGE 🌉

In the early 1900s, Albert Kronkosky built a suspension-style footbridge connecting two ridges on his Boerne estate. Stretching about 100 yards long and standing roughly 60 feet above the ravine in places, the narrow wooden bridge made it easy to cross what would have been a grueling hike. But it wasn’t built to last.
Today, all that remains are the mysterious concrete piers dotting the hillside like a miniature Stonehenge — hidden remnants of one of the Hill Country’s most unusual landmarks.

The Boerne Book Festival is back this weekend — and it’s moving to the Patrick Heath Public Library grounds for 2025!
This year’s festival will feature author talks, workshops, and book signings inside the library, while vendors and family activities fill the outdoor space behind it. The new setup makes for a smoother experience (plus better parking).
Special guests include Bryan Burrough, Norma Cantú, Stephen Harrigan, Kazu Kibuishi, and more. Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 4, and get ready for a full day celebrating books and the people who love them.
