After months of construction, Panda Express has officially announced its Boerne grand opening for October 2 at 34646 IH-10 in Boerne Town Center. The Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting from 9–9:30 AM.

The first guest in line will receive an exclusive Panda Plush, while guests who purchase a Plate or Bigger Plate can get a Pei Pei Blind Box.

The City of Boerne has moved into the next phase of cleanup along Cibolo Creek following the historic July 15 flood. Crews are now focused on longer-term restoration, including removing damaged trees and debris from the creek corridor.

The downtown cleanup is expected to take about seven to 10 days, with the Cibolo Trail remaining open during the work. Over the coming months, the City will also assess areas with significant tree loss and plan future replanting.

Work is underway to restore a historic hand-dug well discovered behind the Old Jail Museum during grounds work in late 2025. The project includes restoring the well’s surrounding wall, adding a small courtyard and connecting sidewalk.

The restoration also includes enclosing four windows on the former second Kendall County Jail, adding another preservation project to the historic site. The Old Jail Museum is open on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.

Built in 1903, the limestone home at 518 North Main Street was built for the parents of Maximilian “Max” Beseler. The Victorian home features 14-foot ceilings, a curved porch, and local limestone.

Beseler was a longtime Main Street businessman and operated one of Boerne’s early saloons. The home became a Recorded Texas Historical Landmark in 1985, while his original bar still stands at Richter Tavern.

HILL COUNTRY’S GOT TALENT RETURNS THIS SATURDAY

Some of the Hill Country’s most talented performers are taking the stage this Saturday, September 19, for the 10th Annual Hill Country’s Got Talent, benefiting Boerne Community Theatre.

This year, 15 acts will compete for cash prizes at the Jones Family Event Center, with plenty happening beyond the performances. Guests can enjoy dinner catered by Pioneers Meats, live and silent auctions, and a full evening supporting local theatre and the arts.

This year’s “Stars, Stripes & Spotlights” theme also celebrates a couple of big milestones: Boerne Community Theatre’s 35th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of Hill Country’s Got Talent.
