  • Work officially begins at the future Sprouts site

  • local genealogy group hosts a meeting on historical newspaper research

And a whole lot more. Let’s get into it!

Boerne Dinner Club is back September 29, and this time it’s happening on a Tuesday night! You’ll take a quick personality and interests quiz, get matched with five other locals, and discover your restaurant the morning of the event. After dinner, everyone comes together for an after-party.

With 100 locals joining the last Dinner Club across seven Boerne restaurants, this has become a fun way to make new connections and try something different. Whether you’re new to town or simply looking to meet more people, spots are expected to fill quickly.

Boerne’s growth continues, with several new businesses getting closer to opening their doors before the end of 2026. From Honda of Boerne and Firehouse Subs to LE STEAK, Highview Veterinary Hospital, Hill & Bach Cellars, and more, there’s a lot taking shape around town.

We checked in on eight projects to see how things are progressing and when each could open. Some have target dates, while others are still listed as coming soon.

The Play Patch is bringing back Saturday Open Play this weekend, with an extended session from 9 AM–2 PM at 9091 Fair Oaks Parkway, Suite 206. Kids can enjoy hours of indoor play while parents relax with drinks from the on-site coffee bar.

There’s a full drink menu plus coffee punch cards, with your 5th drink half off and your 10th drink free. Reservations are recommended for this weekend’s open play session.

It’s official, crews are now on-site clearing trees along Norris Lane at the future Sprouts location, marking the start of construction after weeks of preparation.

State filings currently list a target completion date in August 2027, although timelines can change. For everyone waiting for Sprouts to finally break ground, it’s officially happening!
