HONDA OF BOERNE IS INVESTING IN BOERNE BEFORE OPENING DAY
Honda of Boerne is already making an impact in the community ahead of its November 1 opening. The dealership has committed $10,000 annually for the next three years to Das GreenHaus, supporting entrepreneurship programs, mentorship, educational opportunities, and internships for local students.
The partnership will also bring a new “Innovator of the Month, Powered by Honda” feature highlighting Kendall County entrepreneurs. Construction is underway at 31905 I-10, and Honda of Boerne is gearing up to open its doors this fall.

Boerne’s newly adopted FY 2027 budget includes funding to begin construction on Fire Station No. 2, a planned 22,000-square-foot facility that will serve the eastern portion of the Boerne Fire Department’s service area.
The need is growing, with calls for service increasing 24.1% over the previous year. The project will be funded with cash and $20 million in certificates of obligation, and the City says the new station won’t impact the property tax rate. Once construction begins, it’s expected to take about 14–18 months.

BOERNE-BASED AMAZON CONTRACTOR LAYING OFF 230 WORKERS
A Boerne-based logistics company that provides delivery drivers for Amazon is laying off 230 workers after its contract with Amazon expired.
According to a WARN notice filed with the Texas Workforce Commission, 4XH Logistics plans to make the layoffs between November 6 and November 19. The company was founded in 2019 and employed drivers who delivered packages for Amazon. Read more here

Renovations are still underway at the former Creek Restaurant property, but a new sign out front is making the arrival of Le Steak by Tardif feel a little more official. Chef Jean Tardif is transforming the space into a modern take on the classic French steak-frites house.
The restaurant will center around prime beef, house-made sauces, frites, and curated wines, with the team also sharing glimpses of the project on social media. There’s still no opening date, but the new sign and recent activity suggest Le Steak is getting closer.
Boerne’s first public school opened in 1874 as a simple two-room schoolhouse with just 19 students. The small historic building is still standing today, tucked behind the larger school building along Blanco Road.
The schoolhouse was later repurposed as offices and is now set to become part of the Crestmont Christian Preparatory School development.
