The Boerne area is getting a new team to cheer for. The Texas Wild Hogs are preparing for their inaugural 2027 season, with home games planned at the San Antonio Rose Palace on Boerne Stage Road.

Competing in the American Arena League, the Wild Hogs are already building their roster and looking for local talent, with player tryouts coming October 10. Arena football brings a faster, more intense style of the game with eight players per side and a 50-yard field.
