Boerne Ghost Tours are bringing local legends, mysterious stories, and paranormal tales to life with a 90-minute walking tour through downtown Boerne. Hosted by DeVino Cellars and presented by The Boerne Life, the tour explores some of the city’s historic locations after dark.
The experience begins and ends at DeVino Cellars, where guests can enjoy a unique way to learn about Boerne’s past while uncovering the stories that still linger around town.

If you’re craving authentic Texas BBQ, take the short drive out to Sisterdale and check out Black Board BAR B Q. Known for fork-tender brisket, fall-off-the-bone ribs, delicious sides, and those famous burnt ends, this local spot is serving up the kind of BBQ worth the trip.

Boerne residents 65 and older have access to a great local perk: the free Boerne ISD Gold Card. The card provides admission to home athletic events and fine arts performances throughout the school year.
Patrick Heath Public Library is making it easy to get yours on September 12 from 10 AM–noon. Just bring your ID to the library lobby and ask for Yvette.

The Boerne Police Department has added a new member to the team. Officer E. Falcon was recently sworn in by Chief Perez, and the department is inviting the community to welcome him to Boerne. Take a look here
BULKY ITEM AND BRUSH COLLECTION NEXT WEEK
The City of Boerne is reminding residents that bulky item and brush collection is happening next week. Residents can put out up to four cubic yards of eligible non-recyclable bulky goods for pickup. Check it out here
KENDALL COUNTY VOTERS RECEIVE UPDATE ON REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE ERROR
The Kendall County Elections Office is letting voters know that duplicated names appearing on some mailed voter registration certificates were caused by a printing error. Officials confirmed records are correct and the certificates remain valid. Read more

The City of Boerne has officially adopted its Fiscal Year 2027 budget, focusing on public safety, new community investments, and maintaining quality city services while reducing overall spending.
The $163.9 million budget includes priorities like opening Boerne Heritage Volkspark, improving technology and cybersecurity, and continuing voter-approved capital projects.

Boerne High School has earned the Purple Star Campus Designation for the 2026-27 school year, recognizing the school’s commitment to supporting military-connected students and their families.
The Texas Education Agency designation highlights the work BHS does to help students navigate the unique challenges that can come with military life, including transitions and deployments.
