BREAKING NEWS: BOERNE EPICURE IS OPENING A FULL-SERVICE RESTAURANT 🚨

Big changes are coming! Boerne Epicure will soon launch Boerne Epicure Gourmet Delicatessen, a sit-down restaurant opening September 8th inside The Helene House at 111 Staffel St.

The new restaurant will be open for breakfast and lunch, while the original Gourmet Market will remain open in its current location.

📍 If you’re not sure where The Helene House is, it’s tucked kind of behind Cibolo Creek Brewing Co., next to The Creek Restaurant.

I’m going to be honest, there’s not much of anything going on today. 🤣 There’s a lot closed, such as the Library. It’s a good day to BBQ and hangout with the family (which is what we will be doing).

Vintage Flea Coming to 8th Street Market With New VIP Night*

The Fall Vintage Flea is back September 26–28 at 8th Street Market in Comfort, and this year it’s kicking off with a special VIP Night on Thursday, September 25 from 6–8 pm. Tickets are $25 and include drinks, BBQ, live music, and first pick of vintage and artisan goods.

Boerne Book Festival Moving Back to the Library*

The Boerne Book Festival returns Saturday, October 4, and this year it’s moving from Main Plaza back to the Patrick Heath Public Library. The shift means author talks and workshops can be held inside the library, while vendors and activities fill the outdoor space behind it — making for an improved experience (and better parking, too).

The day will feature panels, book signings, and special guests including Bryan Burrough, Norma Cantú, Stephen Harrigan, Kazu Kibuishi, and more.

New Baseball Card Shop in Fair Oaks

We reported this in The Boerne Life Plus exclusive Saturday email, but in case you’re not on it: Prime Time Sports Cardz soft opened Friiday in the Napa Oaks Shopping Center, bringing a full lineup of sports cards, trading cards, memorabilia, and supplies to town.

City Unveils Proposed Budget

Boerne’s proposed 2025–26 budget is said fund millions in public infrastructure projects without raising the tax rate. The plan supports key capital improvements, strategic goals, and voter-approved bond projects.

A second public hearing and vote on the proposed tax rate is set for Tuesday, September 9, at 6 pm at City Hall. Learn more here.
