MOVIE NIGHT ON THE DIAMOND TO HELP REBUILD INGRAM LITTLE LEAGUE ⚾

Boerne Little League is turning the ballfields into a unique, big-screen experience on September 6, starting at 6 pm at Northrup Park. It sounds awesome: a double feature of The Sandlot and Rookie of the Year — two family-friendly baseball classics.

But it’s more than just a movie night. It’s a major fundraiser to help Ingram Little League rebuild after recent flooding devastated their fields. All proceeds from this event will directly benefit their recovery efforts.

The evening includes wiffle ball, kickball, food trucks, vendors, and more fun before the films begin at 7:30 pm.

MISSIONS TO HOST FLOOD RELIEF NIGHT FEATURING HIGH SCHOOL JERSEYS AND MANU GINOBILI FIRST PITCH

The San Antonio Missions will take the field on Saturday, August 9, wearing jerseys from four local high schools impacted by recent Hill Country flooding—Center Point, Comfort, Ingram, and Kerrville Tivy. These unique, player-signed jerseys will be auctioned off at the game to support the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund and help rebuild the Ingram Little League fields.

Spurs legend and Missions owner Manu Ginobili throwing out the ceremonial first pitch to a student-athlete from one of the impacted schools. The game begins at 7:05 pm at Nelson Wolff Stadium as the Missions face off against the Springfield Cardinals.

Proceeds benefit flood victims and local youth sports, with support from the Nolan Ryan Foundation, Round Rock Express, and RS3 Turf. It’s a powerful opportunity for fans to enjoy a great game while giving back to Hill Country families rebuilding after tragedy.

VOLUNTEER TO HELP FEED THE FAMILY IN COMFORT

On Saturday, August 16 at 11 am, the Comfort Community Park will host Feed the Family—a volunteer-driven effort to serve meals to neighbors in recent flood-affected areas of Kendall and Kerr counties. The event, powered by Das Festival of Kendall, is completely free to the community and run entirely by volunteers.

They with meal prep, serving food, greeting families, and coordinating logistics, y’all. So lets see if we can fill some spots!

Some roles are available at different times and locations, so there’s flexibility to fit your schedule. Can’t volunteer in person? Monetary donations are also welcome to help keep the event 100% free.
