August is one of those months where summer fun meets back-to-school season, and there's no shortage of things happening around town. Whether you're looking for one last family adventure before school starts or planning your weekends, this month's calendar is packed with events for all ages.

From Boerne Market Days and Family Night Hikes to Movie at the Pool, live concerts, football season, boutique grand openings, and community celebrations, we've rounded up 16 events worth adding to your calendar before the month slips away.

MEET PATO & JOCELYN

Looking for a unique night out? Twelve to Twelve Speakeasy has become one of Boerne's favorite spots for handcrafted cocktails and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. The concept was brought to life by husband-and-wife team Pato and Joselyn Peñalosa, with Pato drawing on more than 34 years of hospitality experience across Mexico and the United States.

Today also happens to be Pato's birthday, making it the perfect excuse to stop by, raise a glass, and celebrate. Whether it's your first visit or you're already a regular, you'll find them at 1491 S. Main St.

Boerne's Farmers Market is moving today to the parking lot next to The Richter. To celebrate, they’ll have popsicles, a bounce house, and more.

But something extra exciting we want to tell you about: it’s getting even sweeter with the arrival of Olivia's Oven, a dedicated gluten-free baker.

Olivia's Oven was inspired by the owner's mom after she was diagnosed with celiac disease, and what started as baking for family has grown into a local business dedicated entirely to delicious gluten-free treats. Stop by between 4 - 7 pm to check it out!

There's never been a better time to explore the benefits of a raw diet! Fetch & Friskers is celebrating RAWgust by giving away free sample cooler bags to customers who want to learn more about raw feeding and see if it's the right fit for their dog or cat.

Already feeding raw? You're in luck, too. Every raw-feeding customer will have a chance to win exciting door prizes, including up to three months of free raw food. It's the perfect excuse to stop by, ask questions, and treat your four-legged family member.
