After a pretty quiet weekend, things are picking up this week as we finish out August. Here are some events to put on your calendar. 📅

1. Reality Readers (Monday)

Join the Reality Readers book group at the Patrick Heath Public Library at noon. This month’s discussion covers history, biographies, and current events. Free and open to the public.

2. Meet & Greet for Sophia’s Hope Ranch (Monday)

Head to DeVino Cellars from 5:30–7:30 pm to learn more about Sophia’s Hope Ranch, a faith-based nonprofit supporting children impacted by trauma. Enjoy wine, meet the team, and find out how to get involved.

3. Soft Opening for BioWorx Boerne (Monday)

Located where Fetch & Friskers used to be on Main Street, BioWorx Boerne is opening its doors as the Hill Country’s premiere recovery and wellness center. Services include cryotherapy, IV drips, infrared sauna, red light therapy, ozone therapy, and more.

4. Open House at CommuniCare Boerne (Tuesday)

Tour the clinic, meet the medical team, and welcome Dr. Alfred Flores at CommuniCare Pediatrics – Boerne from 1:30–3 pm. RSVP encouraged.

6. City Council Meeting (Tuesday)

The Boerne City Council meets at City Hall at 6 pm. The public is welcome to attend, or you can watch live or later online.

Support Hill Country Mission for Health with a fun bingo night at Las Guitarras. Check-in starts at 5:30 pm, with games from 6–8 pm. Prizes, food, and community spirit included.

9. Frost Bank Chuck Wagon Breakfast (Wednesday)

Celebrate the Kendall County Fair with a free chuck wagon breakfast at the Fairgrounds Pavilion. Serving eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, peach cobbler, and coffee from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm.

10. Shelby’s Dae-ly Meals Café Soft Opening (Wednesday)

Shelby’s is opening a new café in Comfort, serving soups, salads, sandwiches on homemade sourdough, baked goods, juices, coffee, and grab-and-go meals. Open 11 am–2 pm inside Downright Comfort Antiques.
