WATCH THE FIRST WEEKEND OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL AT 28 SONGS BREWHOUSE 🏈

College Football kicks off on Saturday, and our friends at 28 Songs Brewhouse are ready. With a wall of TV’s, award winning burgers, and the most craft beer on tap in town, you couldn’t pick a better spot to watch your favorite team.

• The Cibolo Nature Center - picturesque hiking and views right here in town

• Try something new to eat - we have so many great options…the fried chicken sandwich at Cibolo Creek Brewing, the ice cream sandwiches at Blythe Creamery, the food trucks behind Free Roam (all great!), the BBQ sandwich at Klein, the pupusas at Casa Amaya… I could go on all day, but maybe look here

• Check out the art - the sculpture garden in front of Blythe, Texas Treasures Fine Art, the Carriage House Gallery, the sculptures along the walking trail

Here’s What the Fountain at Main Plaza Used to Look Like

Check out this old photo we found in "Boerne: Images of America" by Brent Evans (courtesy of Tillie Fass). This is a look at what the fountain at Main Plaza looked like until it had "sprung a leak" and City Council voted to replace it with what we now have.

The image features Dolores Vargas and Nancy Garcia, with the Dienger Building in the background. Crazy how much it’s changed. We love seeing these old shots of Boerne!

Library Parking Lot Closing Friday Evening

The Boerne Public Library’s parking lot will be closed from 6 pm to midnight on Friday, August 22, while crews work on site. If you plan to walk the Old No. 9 trail that evening, you’ll need to park elsewhere. The lot will reopen early Saturday morning.
