RAINWATER HARVESTING: THEN & NOW 💧

Back in the early 1900s, Boerne’s railroad depot had a cypress rainwater tank out front — because rainwater harvesting just made sense. 💧
Fast forward 120+ years, and it still does. That’s why our partners at Hammer Next Level Excavation design and install modern rainwater capture systems so you can make every drop count.

Fun fact, once the railroad shut down, the train station, which comprised two buildings, was moved. One of the buildings is now a private residence on E Bandera Street, and one resides on Main Street.

Halo Botha, a Boerne High School sophomore and Hill Country Strike volleyball player, is courageously battling Non-Hodgkin’s Large B-Cell Lymphoma. Friends, family, and teammates launched a GoFundMe to support her medical expenses — and the community has rallied in an incredible way.
The campaign set a $20,000 goal, and now only about $500 remains to cross the finish line. Every dollar goes directly to Halo’s family to help with treatment costs and essential needs as she continues this fight.
Halo has always been unstoppable on the court and a light to those around her. Now it’s our turn to show her the same strength and love.

CUSTOM FRAMING MEETS FINE ART 🎨🖼️
20% Off Custom Framing Through August

Texas Treasures Frame Shop & Gallery is more than a frame shop—it’s an artistic experience. Thousands of frame samples line the walls like their own installation, surrounded by sculptures and paintings that make the space feel like a gallery.
Every frame is built by hand with museum-quality materials by licensed framers with over 70 years of combined experience. From heirloom preservation and shadow boxes to canvas restoration and custom mirrors, their work is all about preserving memories beautifully.
And here’s a little extra touch we love: every project is wrapped in brown paper for the big reveal, giving it that old-time importance. Through the end of August, our partners at Texas Treasures are offering 20% off custom framing—a perfect time to finally frame that project you’ve been putting off.

All-Girls Flag Football Division Needs 2 More Girls 👧🏈
Boerne could soon have its own all-girls middle school flag football division — but it’s not quite official yet. The Under Armour Rise Flag Football league here in town is just a few players shy of making it happen this fall.
Games take place on Sundays at Boerne Middle School South with a fun 5v5 format. It’s a great chance for local girls to compete, build confidence, and be part of a league that’s already a hit nationwide.

Boerne ISD Calls for November Tax Election 🪙
Boerne ISD has called a Voter Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE) for November 4, asking voters to consider a three-cent increase to the district’s Maintenance and Operations tax rate. If approved, the measure is expected to generate about $4.8 million a year, with 37 percent of that coming from the state and all of it staying local.
District leaders say the funds would go toward teacher pay, classroom instruction, and student programs. Homeowners 65 and older with a homestead exemption wouldn’t see any increase under state law. Early voting is October 20–31, with Election Day on November 4.
