IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Good morning, Boerne. This is The Boerne Life, the newsletter that successfully made it through the kids being back to school for the first week. It was really tough working in a quiet home office…😀
Okay, let’s take a look at what’s going on this weekend! 👇
— Chris

THIS IS WHERE YOU GET THE BEST BURGER IN BOERNE 🍔
According to Boerne Star 2025 Best of the Best Awards

Here’s an idea for your weekend: start off with the best burger in town. That’s right, our friends at 28 Songs Brewhouse just won the best burger of 2025 from the Boerne Star’s Best of the Best awards.
Head over and pair it with a craft beer (they won #2 best craft beer) while you’re at it, if you’re so inclined! Yes, they advertise with us… but if you know what we look like, you’ll see us all the time because we love it there! 😂

CUSTOM FRAMING MEETS FINE ART 🖼️

Texas Treasures Frame Shop & Gallery is more than a frame shop—it’s an artistic experience. Thousands of frame samples line the walls like their own installation, surrounded by sculptures and paintings that bring the space to life.
Every frame is built by hand using museum-quality materials by licensed framers with over 70 years of combined experience. From shadow boxes and heirloom preservation to canvas restoration and custom mirrors, their work is about preserving memories as beautifully as possible.
They even wrap every completed project in brown paper for the big reveal—an extra touch of importance with an old-time feel.
Our partners at Texas Treasures Frame Shop & Gallery are offering 20% off custom framing through the end of August. If you’ve been thinking about a project, now’s the time.

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS CAR? 🤔🚗

Meet Lil Volt. He's the cute lil mascot for a tasty new concept coming to downtown Boerne called Pizza Voltera. Think authentic Italian pizza, fresh regional salads, and handmade gelato.

BOERNE HISTORY
The Newton Boys: Texas’ Legendary Outlaws

Back in the 1920s, the Newton Boys were making headlines — not for violence, but for a string of daring bank and train robberies across multiple states.
Willis, Doc, Jess, and Joe Newton hit banks in New Braunfels, San Marcos, and yes… right here in Boerne. But here’s the twist — they never killed anyone during their crimes. The Boerne job was at Boerne State Bank, which is where Bechants sits. Fun fact: if you go in Bechants today, you can still step inside an old bank vault.
