JULIA ROSE LIVE AT INDULGE THIS FRIDAY

The wait is over! Missick Cellars is soft opening its new Boerne tasting room this Friday at 941 N. School Street, giving locals a new spot to enjoy its award-winning Texas wines. The tasting room will also feature a small general store, bottles to take home, and a playground for the kids.

For now, hours are Fridays and Saturdays from 11 AM to 6 PM, with weekday appointments starting next week. More hours are expected to be added in September, including Thursdays and Sunday afternoons.

Boerne Soccer Club’s Micro Academy is designed for young players who are ready to build their skills and confidence in a fun, positive environment. Players will work on ball control, coordination, basic soccer skills, teamwork, and learning through age-appropriate activities.

The fall season is here, making it a great time for your little player to get on the field, learn the game, and grow their confidence along the way.

CELEBRATE ROLAND J. RUIZ'S RADIO HALL OF FAME HONOR

Boerne Radio's Roland J. Ruiz has officially been inducted into the San Antonio Radio Hall of Fame, adding another major honor to Boerne Radio's lineup. He now joins Baron Wiley and Sonny Melendrez as the station's third Hall of Famer.

It's a big moment for Roland and a pretty impressive milestone for Boerne Radio 103.9FM. Congratulations to Roland on the well-earned recognition!

The Comfort Public Library has clarified that the Book Barn used bookstore will be closed this Friday, August 14 due to a lack of volunteers, but will be open as usual Saturday, August 15. Boerne City Council is expected to consider funding for the long-awaited Fire Station No. 2 when it meets September 8. The city is proposing $20 million in certificates of obligation toward the project, with officials saying the financing can be structured without increasing the current tax rate.

The proposed station on Esperanza Boulevard is estimated at roughly $30 million and would include fire operations, training space, a backup emergency operations center, library services, and a small museum. A recent TDLR filing also points to the project moving forward, with construction targeted to begin in 2027.

BOERNE IS OFFICIALLY HEADED TO THE LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES

After more than 24 hours of disqualifications, legal challenges, and confusion, Little League International confirmed Tulsa National remains disqualified from the Southwest Region Tournament.

Boerne is officially headed to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, advancing to the Little League World Series for the second time in three years.
