Good morning, Boerne. What a crazy couple of days we’ve had. We’ve spent a lot of time covering the flooding, but the good news is most Boerne businesses are reopened and ready to welcome you back after the weather forced them to close for a day or two.

So with that in mind, we’re going to take a look at what’s still going on this weekend. We’ve done our best to verify all the events, but there have been several cancellations, so we recommend that you double check before you head out just in case.

On the other hand, we think it’s important to remember that a lot of people and businesses have been impacted by the disastrous conditions, so over the next week or so we will also be sharing helpful resources for those who need them as well as how people can help as the Texas Hill Country begins to rebuild.

Finally, we’d like to thank all the first responders who have been working tirelessly throughout to perform rescues, clean up, and more.

FUEL WARNING AFTER THE FLOOD

Our partners at Brady’s Auto Repair told us they had several vehicles come into Brady’s yesterday with check engine lights and rough running conditions—and they found significant amounts of water in the fuel.

With the recent heavy rains and flooding, they said it’s important to be cautious about where you fill up.

If your vehicle starts running rough or your check engine light comes on after getting gas, give them a call. Catching the problem early could help prevent costly repairs.
