Good morning, Boerne. Due to the weather situation, our regularly scheduled “Things to Do This Weekend” newsletter will be delayed until tomorrow.

Today, we’re under a flash flood warning at least until 1 pm. According to the City of Boerne, the main threat today is along the Guadalupe.

Over night/early morning, Kerr County saw rains that have caused massive flooding along the Guadalupe in Kerrville, Center Point, Comfort, etc. In Comfort, the Guadalupe was expected to crest at over 35.6 feet. To put that into perspective, last year on July 4th it crested at 34.7 feet.

Meanwhile, there is still more rain before the system weakens later, according to this meteorologist we follow.

This is a true emergency along the Guadalupe, and our prayers are with everyone affected.

Yesterday was a tough one as well throughout town with the lake spilling over its banks and the Cibolo Creek flooding well over River Road. The City of Boerne fielded 109 calls for service starting around 8 a.m. on Wednesday. Of those calls, 36 were for water rescues.

No fatalities or injuries have been reported.
