The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Boerne and Kendall County through Thursday, July 16. As of this morning, low water crossings are being closed, and we’d expect more to follow. One rain gauge west of Boerne Lake recorded 4 inches since yesterday. The iPhone weather app says Boerne has recieved 2 inches (not sure where their data comes from).
Residents are encouraged to stay weather aware, avoid flooded roads, and remember: Turn Around, Don't Drown. The City of Boerne is also urging residents to sign up for emergency alerts and watch for updates on road closures and utility impacts as conditions change.
