Boerne Center Retail Project Now Underway

People have been asking us what the second building is that’s going up on Herff Rd near Oak Park, right next to the new Texas Regional Bank. Turns out it’s a development called Boerne Center. While no tenants have been confirmed yet, plans suggest the space is designed for retail and restaurant-type businesses.

Star Republic Brewing Turns One with a Two-Day Hoedown

Star Republic Brewing is throwing a two-day celebration this Fourth of July weekend—and everyone’s invited! The Anniversary Roundup runs Friday and Saturday, July 4–5, from 12 pm to 9 pm at their Kendalia brewery. Expect fresh beer releases, live music all day, food trucks, games, prizes, and one seriously festive crowd.

Located at 101 Kendalia Cir (where Rough Diamond Brewery used to be), Star Republic calls itself “Aggressively Texan”—and after one visit, you’ll get why. You’ll normally find them open Fridays and Saturdays with cold beer, cornhole, and shady spots to kick back.

School Street Is Up First for Boerne’s Annual Chip Seal Program

The City of Boerne’s Street Department kicked off its summer chip seal program this week, starting with School Street. Temporary lane closures and minor delays are expected through June 27, so drive with caution. This maintenance extends the life of our roads—and more are on the list, including Scenic Loop, Watts, Saddle Club Circle, and others throughout the summer.
