👉June Guide + Oldest German Band

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Hey Boerne! Happy Tuesday! June is officially here, and the calendar is filling up fast. Today we're looking ahead at some of the events happening this month.

But first a joke. Why is there less air travel on Tuesdays?

Because you’re supposed Tuesday on the ground. 😁

Inside today's email:

  • The 10 biggest events happening in Boerne this June

  • The oldest German band in the world performs tonight

  • Special edition of the Boerne Farmers Market today

  • New park update

And a whole lot more. Let’s get into it!

— Chris

Located right here in Boerne at 101 Woods of Boerne Blvd, Genesis offers counseling services for individuals, couples, families, teens, and children through a team of experienced licensed clinical providers. They also provide support for anxiety, trauma, grief, parenting challenges, marriage counseling, autism assessments, and more.

What stood out to us most is their heart for the community. Genesis partners with local churches, schools, nonprofits, businesses, veterans, first responders, and families across the Hill Country to help make trusted mental health support more accessible and approachable.

Led locally by Jen Belz, LPC, Genesis combines professional clinical care with a faith-informed foundation centered on hope, healing, and growth. We also see Jen and her husband out supporting local events and organizations around Boerne all the time, which says a lot about how invested they are in this community.

Summer is officially underway, and June might just be the best month on the Boerne calendar. Whether you're into live music, community festivals, outdoor recreation, family activities, or simply looking for a reason to get out of the house, there's no shortage of options over the next few weeks.

LIKE SPORTS? THIS IS YOUR SPOT 🏀

Game 1 of the NBA Finals tips off Wednesday night, and if you're a Spurs fan, there's no better time to stock up on cards, memorabilia, and collectibles. PrimeTime Sports Cardz near Fair Oaks Ranch has become a go-to spot for local sports fans looking to talk sports and trade cards.

Whether you're hunting for Spurs cards, browsing memorabilia, or just looking for a place to talk basketball before tipoff, it's worth making a stop. With the Finals finally here, basketball season doesn't get much bigger than this.

ABENDKONZERTES RETURN TONIGHT

One of our favorite small-town summer traditions returns tonight: the first Abendkonzerte of the year with the Boerne Village Band! Founded in 1860, they’re the oldest continuously active German band outside of Germany.

Expect an evening of lively German tunes, fun stories, and a small town community vibe. Kids even get to go to the front and march around—an old-timey Boerne treat that never gets old.

The Texas Hill Country Game Fair returns to Joshua Creek Ranch on June 12–13, bringing two days of outdoor sports, live demonstrations, competitions, food, music, and family-friendly fun to one of the most scenic destinations in the Hill Country.

BOERNE FARMERS MARKET HOLDS SPECIAL SUMMER KICKOFF TODAY

Kids can enjoy FREE popsicles while supplies last, there'll be a bounce house for the little ones, and the market is welcoming a new vendor—Aguilar Vegetable Farms.

This local family is bringing fresh seasonal produce straight from the field, including cucumbers, onions, okra, zucchini, and more. It's always exciting to see more locally grown food making its way to Boerne.

Whether you're stopping by for fresh veggies, handmade goods, or just looking for something fun to do with the family, this week's market looks like a good one.

The Boerne Farmers Market is located at 402 E Blanco Rd and runs from 4–7 pm each Tuesday.

Construction continues to move forward at Northside Community Park, and some of the park's most anticipated features are becoming a reality. According to the latest update from the City of Boerne, concrete has now been poured for two pickleball courts, while work continues on restroom facilities and underground infrastructure.

Located at Adler and Toepperwein roads, the future park will include sports fields, a splash pad, playgrounds, trails, a dog park, and more. It's still under construction, but each update makes it easier to picture what this space will eventually become for Boerne families.
