Trying to survive summer without spending a fortune every time the family goes out to eat? A handful of Boerne restaurants are offering kids eat free specials that can actually make family dinners feel affordable again.

We’re excited to officially welcome 8th Street Market and Comfort Coffee Co. as new partners with The Boerne Life and The Kerrville Life! If you’ve never been, this is the kind of place you can wander through for an hour and still keep discovering new things. Vintage finds, antiques, home décor, salvaged pieces, outdoor spaces, and one of the coolest atmospheres anywhere in the Hill Country.
And tucked inside is Comfort Coffee Co., one of our favorite coffee stops around. From cappuccinos and fresh baked goods to Merit Coffee beans and ridiculously good chocolate chip cookies, it’s the perfect excuse to slow down and spend an afternoon in Comfort.

Lemon Creek Ranch keeps adding new businesses fast, and another major name is officially on the way. According to the latest development plans, Verizon will be opening a new location between Lemon Creek Smiles and Monkee’s of Fair Oaks across from HEB.
The growing development already includes businesses like Chase, Marble Slab, Jersey Mike’s, and The UPS Store, with a few more vacancies still waiting to be filled.

Parents around Boerne and Fair Oaks Ranch are probably going to want this on their radar. The Play Patch just announced a new Kids Summer Play Pass that gives families unlimited open play visits from June 1 through August 31.
The indoor play space has quickly become a go-to spot for parents looking for a clean, calm place where little ones can play while adults can actually sit down, relax, and maybe even drink a coffee while it’s still hot for once.

What starts as a small leak behind a shower wall or a roof issue in the attic can quietly turn into a much bigger problem. Mold isn’t just cosmetic... it can affect your home’s structure and the people living in it.
Rock Renovations, a father-and-son team serving Boerne and the Hill Country, specializes in mold remediation. Their experience goes beyond basic cleanup. After handling large-scale commercial projects at Camp Stanley and Fort Bliss, JJ obtained his mold license at the federal government’s request. They’ve also stepped in locally after flood damage and major leak issues, helping families properly remove mold and rebuild the right way.
They don’t just cover it up. They fix the source, remediate it correctly, and restore your home so it’s safe and solid again. They also handle full renovations, additions, and remodels if repairs turn into something bigger.
If you suspect mold, this is not the kind of project to put off. Contact our partners at Rock Renovations!

DeVino Cellars is officially opening its new downtown Boerne location this weekend, and Saturday’s celebration might draw a crowd early. The first 50 customers through the door will receive a complimentary bottle of wine as part of the Grand Opening Weekend festivities.
The weekend will also include live music from Hunter Billingsley, food from neighboring local businesses, and special sabering celebrations throughout the evening.

If you were around for the original Pinspirations events at the library, you already know how fast these things used to fill up. The craft nights became one of the library’s most popular community programs before quietly going away… and now they’re finally making a return.
The library just announced Prehistoric Pinspirations happening June 12, where participants will create mini hanging propagation stations with Leah and Cassidy in the Library Community Room.

WAY BACK WEDNESDAY
An incredible historic photo from the book Boerne by Brent Evans shows the 1921 Boerne High School basketball team standing on a court behind the old high school building, which later became Boerne City Hall. Even cooler, the Kuhlmann-King Historic House can be seen in the background, making this a pretty wild snapshot of Boerne history from more than 100 years ago.
