Heights Wellness Retreat is getting ready for its Grand Reopening Celebration on May 28 from 3–6 PM, and the updated space is really starting to come together. The event gives the community a chance to tour the refreshed retreat, meet the team, check out their touchless wellness equipment, and enjoy raffles, food, drinks, and prizes.

They also mentioned a limited number of legacy memberships are still available, including a monthly 60-minute massage or facial plus unlimited access to wellness equipment. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Memorial Day in Boerne offers the perfect opportunity to honor the men and women who sacrificed for our country. From community workouts to outdoor concerts, there’s something for everyone to participate in while reflecting on the true meaning of the holiday.

Residents can join local ceremonies, attend concerts, and take part in volunteer events like the “Flags In” at Boerne Cemetery. Each activity encourages community engagement while paying tribute to our veterans and service members.

Boerne is growing, and a brand-new 4,000 sq. ft. medical office, Hawkins Landing, is about to make its mark on Norris Lane. Located across from the VA Clinic and next to Comfort Inn, this new facility promises to expand local healthcare options.

Whether you’re a prospective tenant or a local curious about the development, this is a key addition to Boerne’s growing infrastructure. Keep an eye on updates as the project takes shape and the facility opens its doors.

Nature’s Presence, located at 807 N Main St, Boerne, TX, is now stocked with premium, locally raised grass-fed & finished beef from Cibolo Creek Cattle Company. What started as a supplement shop has grown into a full local health market, featuring clean snacks, organic pantry staples, natural pet products, and more.

The star? The beef! Perfect for family meals you can feel good about—we even used it for spaghetti recently and it was a hit.

THE SECRET WEAPON FOR EXTREME PEST CONTROL

Have you seen these tents around town before? Those giant red, white, and blue tarps aren’t just for show. They seal the entire structure so the treatment can reach deep into the wood where drywood termites live. It’s one of the most effective ways to eliminate an active infestation.

Our partners at Elite Exterminating are one of only a handful of companies in Texas licensed to perform this type of structural fumigation statewide. They’ve been protecting homes and buildings across South Texas for more than 35 years.

Fun fact: those beautiful Hill Country oak trees that make Boerne so scenic also create an environment termites love. Which is why treatments like this are sometimes necessary to protect homes.

Think you could benefit from this treatment? Call them at 1(800) 498-8939 or learn more here.

“Their Absence is Our Presence” at the Patrick Heath Public Library delves into Boerne’s lesser-known history through layered artwork, maps, photographs, and storytelling. This multimedia exhibit brings to life stories of Native tribes, The Flats freedom colony, and local families who shaped Kendall County.

The exhibit is part of the library’s “No Blank Canvas” initiative and offers residents a chance to engage with the past in a visually striking and informative way. It runs throughout May, making now the perfect time to experience it.

THE FIRST EVER BOERNE BUSINESS

Long before Boerne became a bustling Hill Country town, it was a mill town powered by the Cibolo Creek. In the mid 1850's, German immigrant William Dietert built Boerne’s very first business right here — a gristmill and dam that helped grind wheat into flour for early settlers. Click to learn more.

GLASS GOES IN AT HONDA OF BOERNE

We drove by yesterday and saw the glass going in on the front of the new dealership, and things are really starting to come together.

And as construction continues along, Honda of Boerne has begun hiring as they work toward a September 2026 opening.

The dealership broke ground last year and is owned by the Pohanka Automotive Group, a family-owned company that’s been around since 1919. They’re currently building their local team ahead of launch, with openings across several departments.
