⚡ HISTORY MADE AT CHAMPION HIGH SCHOOL

A huge congratulations to Mr. Dorman Vick and the 35 students from Boerne – Samuel V. Champion High School who just became the first in the world to receive their official Level 1 HOLT CAT Welding Certification Cards while still in high school!

Thanks to a groundbreaking partnership between Holt/CAT and the Champion Ag Mech/Welding Program, these students are graduating with real-world, industry-recognized credentials—ready to enter the workforce earning more than 90% of college graduates.

This is a major win for vocational education, not just for Boerne, but as a model for the nation. Big thanks to Mr. Vick, the team at Holt/CAT, and everyone who continues to invest in our kids’ futures. Thanks to Michael Etheridge of The Kendall Gentleman for the scoop.

🏫 BOERNE ISD BUYS 70 ACRES FOR FUTURE GROWTH

Boerne ISD just closed on a 70-acre land purchase off I-10 and Old Fredericksburg Road—an investment aimed at accommodating the district’s continued growth.

While exact plans for the land haven’t been finalized, ideas on the table include a new school or a major athletic complex. Superintendent Dr. Kristin Craft called it “an investment in our students, our teachers, and our community’s future.”

Master planning begins soon, and the district is asking for community input to help shape what comes next. Stay tuned!
