IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Good morning Boerne! Happy Wednesday. We have a whole bunch of business updates for you today, so let’s get to it. Sneak peek:

  • Major progress updates on Boerne Town Center

  • A hidden collective of women-owned businesses on Main

  • A second Starbucks location that’s still up in the air

And a whole lot more. Let’s get into it!

Midweek rolls around, everyone’s hungry, and cooking is the last thing you want to deal with. That’s where our partners at Pioneers Meats come in. For $39.95, you can pick up a whole flame-grilled chicken that feeds a family of four, plus a large side of Portuguese rice or fries and a salad.

It’s hot, flavorful, and feels like a real dinner instead of another fast food run. Choose between lemon herb or peri peri if you want a little extra spice. They’ll even cut the chicken into four portions, and most orders are ready in about 15–20 minutes, making it an easy Wednesday night solution.

After months of little to no visible movement, Boerne Town Center is showing real signs of life. Several major tenants like Chipotle, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and Chicken Salad Chick are actively being built out, signaling that Phase One is officially underway. Panda Express has also started construction, and Van Nails & Spa has already installed permanent signage, a key milestone for any new development.

Warmer days are here and we’ve gotten a bit of rain, which means it’s time to get that yard lookin’ good. Two Birds Outdoor Services, owned by Boerne locals Emmitt and Bethany Samarripa, is helping homeowners get ahead with detailed lawn care, garden cleanups, pressure washing, and outdoor projects other crews won’t touch.

They’re offering 10% off for new and returning customers when you mention The Boerne Life, making now the perfect time to reset your yard before things really heat up.

Rusti has been part of Bumdoodler’s Lunch Co. for over 20 years, and she’s currently facing ovarian cancer and starting chemotherapy. Today from 10 AM to 6 PM, the Boerne community is coming together to support her, with 100% of proceeds and donations going directly to help ease the burden during treatment.

If Bumdoodler’s has ever been one of your go-to spots, this is a meaningful way to show up and give back. Donations can also be sent via Venmo @bumspay (just include Rusti’s name).

Tucked above Cypress Grille at 170 S Main, The Overlook on Main is home to four women-owned businesses all under one roof. From photography and hair services to yoga and event hosting, it’s a small but impactful space centered around creating community for women in Boerne.

If you’ve walked past without noticing, you’re not alone. But once you step inside, it’s a completely different experience. It’s a great spot to explore next time you’re on Main Street.

Got kids with energy to burn midweek? Wednesday Wiggle & Play at The Play Patch is the perfect excuse to get out of the house and let them run, play, and have fun in a safe indoor space.

Play sessions start at 12 PM, with entry at $8.99 per child and babies 6 months and under always free. It’s an easy go-to for a midweek play date that keeps everyone happy.

Plans for a second Starbucks location on Herff Road were approved last summer, but nearly a year later, there’s still no sign of construction. The original notice sign remains in place, while nearby developments like Boerne ER are already taking shape.

According to the City of Boerne, there has been no follow-up from Starbucks since approval, and no construction plans have been submitted. For now, the project remains in limbo, leaving many wondering if or when it will move forward.

Boerne Cemetery dates back to 1867, when Adam Vogt deeded just over an acre of land to the City for just $1. Located along what is now School Street, it has served as a final resting place for generations, with some of the oldest graves still visible in the original sections.
