👉BBQ Closing + New Development Update

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Good morning Boerne! It’s National Beer Day. That means today’s the day to go see our friends at 28 Songs Brewhouse at 110 Market Ave for the most beers on tap in town. They also have some great lunch specials like burgers, wings, chicken Caesar wraps, and more for only $8.95.

Okay, here’s what we’ve got for you today:

  • A local restaurant is closing this weekend

  • A community rally to support a longtime local

  • A new development is moving forward in Boerne

And a whole lot more. Let’s get into it!

— Chris

Brady’s Auto Repair & Diesel might be tucked just off North Main on Market Ave, but it’s the kind of place locals swear by once they find it. They service all makes and models, including diesel trucks, with a structured repair process and detailed quality checks to make sure everything’s done right the first time.

With ASE-certified technicians, AAA approval, a 3-year / 36,000-mile warranty, and over 700 Google reviews with a 4.9-star rating, they’ve built a reputation you can count on. Plus, their diesel specialists bring over 30 years of experience each, so you know your truck’s in good hands.

Pure Country BBQ & Grill has announced it will officially close after April 11, marking the end of its time in Boerne.

To close things out, they’re hosting food and drink specials on Friday and Saturday, along with karaoke starting at 7 PM Friday night. It’s a chance to stop by one last time, show support, and help them wrap up on a positive note.

A longtime tradition is making its return in a big way. Das Festival of Kendall is bringing back the spirit of Boerne’s German-heritage celebration, taking over Main Plaza this summer for a bigger, better experience than ever.

Set for Father’s Day weekend, this is the kind of event you’ll want on your calendar early. Think live entertainment, local culture, and a full weekend of energy right in the heart of town.

Rusti has been part of Bumdoodler’s Lunch Co. for over 20 years, and she’s currently facing ovarian cancer and starting chemotherapy. On April 8 from 10 AM to 6 PM, the Boerne community is coming together to support her, with 100% of proceeds and donations going directly to help ease the burden during treatment.

If Bumdoodler’s has ever been one of your go-to spots, this is a meaningful way to show up and give back. Donations can also be sent via Venmo @bumspay (just include Rusti’s name).

Take a look back at Easter at the Ranch… just a small glimpse of what life is like at Fair Oaks Ranch Golf & Country Club. It’s more than events or amenities, it’s the kind of place where weekends feel full, familiar, and easy.

After a major transformation in 2025, the club has stepped into 2026 with a completely refreshed experience. From the redesigned clubhouse and new dining spaces to upgraded golf, tennis, pickleball, and a state-of-the-art fitness center, everything has been reimagined with connection in mind. Whether it’s dinner with friends, a quick workout, or a full day on the course, it’s about finding your people and actually wanting to stay awhile.

A new sign has officially gone up for the upcoming Wellness Plaza at Boerne, a planned 37,000-square-foot medical and retail development along Herff Road. The project will feature ground-floor retail with medical offices above, creating a centralized space focused on health and wellness services.

The development is expected to bring together a wide range of providers, from family medicine and dental to dermatology, IV therapy, and imaging services, along with complementary businesses like fitness studios, med spas, and smoothie shops. Located between Old San Antonio Road and Main Street, this marks the first visible step forward since the project was announced in September 2025.

The City of Boerne is asking residents to review and provide input on its draft Comprehensive Safety Action Plan. The goal is to reduce roadway fatalities and serious injuries while improving safety across the community, especially on high-traffic roads and intersections.

Data from the study shows that most crashes are concentrated on a small portion of roadways, with areas like South Main Street, River Road, and Main Plaza highlighted for improvement. Community feedback will help shape the final version before it’s considered for adoption later this spring.

This is especially relevant after a man was unfortunately struck yesterday on Main Street. According to San Antonio Express News, the man was hit when either entering or exiting his vehicle near Main Street and James Street. No word on his condition other than he was conscious when he arrived at the hospital but his injuries were said to be “critical.”
