Boerne’s German heritage continues to thrive through Das Festival of Kendall, returning to Main Plaza Father’s Day weekend for its third year. The event brings together families, local businesses, and first responders to celebrate culture while giving back in Kendall County. And this year we’re helping sponsor - you’ll see our name on the ticket booth!
New for 2026, individuals and families can become Community Supporters for just $100 to help keep the tradition strong. Click through to join us and get involved.

A new reason to head downtown just dropped. First Saturdays on Main is kicking off this Saturday, May 2, bringing extended shopping hours, live music, food, drinks, and a lively evening atmosphere to the Hill Country Mile from 5–8 PM.
And we’re partnering with the Boerne Retail & Restaurant Owners Association to make it happen!
Shops will stay open late, making it the perfect excuse to stroll, explore, and actually enjoy downtown after hours. It runs monthly from May through October, so this is just the beginning.
Want special perks? Our Boerne Life Plus Members, will enjoy special discounts and perks at all the participating spots. More details on that later, but if you’re interested in joining our Plus group, you can learn more about that here.

Looking to stay active, informed, and connected? The Boerne Senior Expo is happening May 5 at The Bevy Hotel Boerne, bringing together health and wellness resources, financial experts, local vendors, and community organizations all in one place.
With free admission, free parking, and hourly giveaways, it’s an easy way to explore helpful services and enjoy a full day out.
We’ll have a table set up there (we’re a presenting sponsor) so make sure to stop by and say hello!

Our May guide is brought to you by Brady’s Auto Repair & Diesel. They’ve been Boerne’s trusted go-to auto repair shop for over 26 years. Learn more about them here.
May is when Boerne really comes alive. From live music and markets to unique events like Cirque Ma’Ceo, Lemonade Day, and the Boerne Bock Walk, the calendar is stacked with things to do almost every week.
Whether you’re into outdoor concerts, family-friendly events, or just looking for something different, there’s something happening all month long. It’s one of those times where staying home might actually mean missing out.

Two new Boerne businesses, one simple moment. The Model Box and Selah Cafe & Market are showing what it looks like when local owners actually support each other, from hobby shop finds to morning coffee runs. It’s the kind of connection that keeps the community strong and growing.
When you shop local, you’re part of that cycle too.

Construction is officially underway behind Klein Smokehaus on North Main, marking a big step forward for one of Boerne’s most established businesses. The expansion will add a new processing and production facility, helping meet growing demand while opening up space in the current building for future improvements.
The new structure will stay out of view from Main Street, but its impact will definitely be felt. For a business that’s been part of the community for generations, this is a major move forward.
