Good morning, Boerne. This is The Boerne Life — the newsletter that has a joke for you: Why were Taco Tuesdays introduced? Because they wanted to give us something to taco ’bout the whole week.

Exciting $10M Renovation Underway at Fair Oaks Ranch Golf & Country Club

Big changes are happening at Fair Oaks Ranch Golf & Country Club! This Hill Country gem is currently undergoing a $10 million renovation designed to enhance the member experience while honoring the property’s historic charm.

Upgrades include a newly redesigned Live Oak Golf Course (by Lanny Wadkins Design), a brand-new state-of-the-art fitness center, renovated dining spaces with sweeping Hill Country views, 12 new pickleball courts (already completed!), a revamped tennis center, and much more.

Construction is being carefully phased, with many amenities still open during the process. Final completion is expected this summer.

Boerne Favorite Near the Lake Set to Return

Yes, it's true. Random Beer Garden is getting ready to re-open!

For those of you who are new to town, this was one of our favorite spots to hangout with the family... and we're super excited to learn it will return.

It’s basically a giant backyard with open space to run around, bouncy things and games for the kids, food trucks, and tons of beers on tap. And it’s located next door to City Lake Park!

While there is no set open date just yet, they WILL be hosting a Derby party this weekend! We have all the details in our story…

Parking Lot Sale Fundraiser and Shoe Drive at Love Kendall County Kids 👟

Support Local Kids This Weekend

Love Kendall County Kids is hosting a Parking Lot Sale and Shoe Drive on Saturday, May 3, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at 316 W. Highland in Boerne.

Guests are encouraged to donate new and gently used shoes for children ages 0–18, which will be distributed to local families. Donations of clothing, furniture, books, and home goods are also welcome.

This is a great organization we’ve volunteered for multiple times in the past. They do great work.

Today is your final chance to early vote for the May 3 election!

On the ballot: Boerne mayoral race, city council races, and school board elections. Voters will also decide on Measure A, which would extend mayor and city council terms from two years to three. You can learn more about this measure here.

Polls close at 7 pm. These May elections traditionally have pretty weak turnouts, so let’s make sure our voices are heard!
