👉The Boerne Life Dinner Club + Kid-Friendly Dining Guide
Good morning Boerne! We just woke up to a thunderstorm! That reminds us, if you don’t have whole-home surge protection, you might want to give our partners at Mr. Electric a shout!
Okay, here’s what we’ve got for you today:
We have an announcement to make
A full list of kid-friendly restaurants around Boerne
A local winery earning national recognition
One of the biggest handmade markets in South Texas
And a whole lot more. Let’s get into it!
— Chris

Making new friends as an adult can be weirdly tough. We’re making it easier.
It’s finally time to tell you about the The Boerne Life Dinner Club!
Here’s how it works:
🍽️ Take a quick quiz about your personality, interests, and food preferences.
✨ Get matched with five other Boerne residents who fit your style (think food preferences, budget, life stage).
📍Your table of six meets for dinner on Wednesday, April 29th at 6:30PM - the exact restaurant is revealed that morning.
🥂 After dinner, all groups are invited to a casual after-meetup to keep the conversation going.
Want to go with someone specific (significant other, good friend, etc.)?
Fill out the form, then forward the link to that person. At the end of the quiz, you’ll have the option to invite a friend — they’ll get an email and need to book within 12 hours so the platform can seat you together.
If you’ve been wanting to meet new people in town, this might be the easiest (and most fun) way to do it.

Eating out with kids isn’t always easy, but Boerne has more options than you might think. From restaurants with playgrounds and open patios to spots with arcades and room to run around, there are plenty of places that make it easier to enjoy a meal without stress.
This list rounds up 12 of our go-to spots across town, plus a new one on the way. Whether you’re looking for burgers, pizza, Tex-Mex, or something a little different, there’s something here that works for both kids and adults.

Sometimes it’s all about timing. This journey started back in 2022, and when the moment was finally right, it led to an incredible outcome, an adorable bungalow with no foundation issues, a brand new roof negotiated in, seller-paid closing costs, money back at closing, and even an appraisal $19,000 over the purchase price.
Deals like this don’t happen every day, but having the right strategy (and the right agent) makes a big difference when they do.

A Boerne-based winery is already making waves before even opening its tasting room. Missick Cellars recently earned Best in Class at the 2026 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, one of the largest in North America.
Competing against thousands of entries, the win puts them among top-tier producers across the country. With a tasting room set to open soon on North School Street in the old Boerne Star building, this is one to keep an eye on.

THIS SANDWICH CAUGHT OUR MOUTH ON FIRE AND BLEW OUR MIND 🥵🤯
Listen, if you like spicy, change whatever plans you have today and head to Pioneers Meats & International Deli at 312 River Rd.
The chicken sandwich (choose peri-peri sauce) is simply out of this world.
Over the last couple weeks we've tried all their dried meats, the sausage rolls, the classic breakfast sandwich, the pepper steak pie, the family meal (yes, a full family dinner to-go!) and more. I know... that's a lot ha!
And we simply can't recommend this spot enough. Learn more about them here.

The Boerne Handmade Market is back April 17th and 18th, bringing together a huge lineup of local makers and vendors. From jewelry and apparel to home décor, food, and handmade goods, there’s a little bit of everything.
It’s one of the biggest markets of its kind in South Texas, and a great excuse to spend some time browsing and supporting local creators.

After a two-year break, Bear Moon Bakery has officially brought back one of its most popular items: cheese pockets. The hold-up? A key ingredient that simply wasn’t available until now. But it’s back, and so is one of the bakery’s most talked-about treats.
