👉April Events + DeVino Cellars Moving

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Good morning Boerne! Happy April Fools Day. I won’t fool with you, don’t worry. Although we are putting out a little joke on Facebook today. So you can hop over to our FB page at 8 am for that. Except you’ll already know it’s a joke. But that’s totally okay.

Here’s what we’ve got for you today:

  • A full lineup of things to do this April

  • DeVino Cellars to replace Rock-N-Ritas

  • La Te Da new location now open

  • Pink Moon tonight

And a whole lot more. Let’s get into it!

— Chris

It won’t be long before summer-style heat hits the Hill Country, and that means your electrical system will be working overtime. With AC units running nonstop and appliances pulling extra power, your breaker panel ends up carrying a heavy load.

That’s where Mr. Electric can help. Their team works with Boerne-area homeowners to prepare for the hotter months with services like whole-home surge protection, breaker panel upgrades, and electrical safety inspections. And if something does go wrong when the heat spikes, they’re ready with fast, reliable service.

April might lowkey be the best month in Boerne — perfect weather, packed calendars, and something happening almost every day. From live music and markets to workshops and family-friendly events, there’s no shortage of ways to get out and enjoy the Hill Country.

Health insurance costs are taking a bigger bite out of family budgets across Texas. Recent data shows families are spending an average of 10.9% of their household income — more than $11,000 a year — on employer-sponsored premiums and deductibles alone, and that doesn’t even include copays or other out-of-pocket costs.

If that sounds familiar, it may be time to explore other options. Boerne-based health insurance expert Penn Mallery helps families and small business owners find custom PPO plans designed around real needs and realistic budgets instead of one-size-fits-all coverage.

DEVINO CELLARS SET TO MOVE DOWNTOWN

Remember how we were just telling you Rock-N-Rita's shut down? Well, it doesn't look like the building will be vacant for long!

We just got word from the owner of DeVino Cellars that they'll be making the move to 112 E San Antonio Ave. And if all goes well, they'll be in before summer!

And to give you a sneak peek, they'll be pouring wine out front of their new location during Diva Night on April 9th. So stop by, congratulate them on the move, and welcome them to the "neighborhood"!

If you’ve been curious about Reformer Pilates, this might be your sign to give it a try. Longevity Pilates, a boutique studio right here in Boerne, is helping locals build strength, improve flexibility, and feel more confident through guided reformer sessions.

The studio offers small-group classes led by expert instructors, making it a great fit whether you’re recovering from an injury, improving athletic performance, or simply looking for a workout that supports your long-term health. New to Pilates? Their Fundamentals Classes are designed to help beginners feel comfortable and confident from the start.

New members can get 3 classes for $65, with sessions starting as early as 6 AM.

Bird activity is high, and adding new foods to a backyard feeding station can bring in a wider variety of species. Specialty feeders and options like peanuts, mealworms, suet cylinders, and Bark Butter Bits can help attract birds that might not visit for standard seed alone. Visit our partners at Wild Birds Unlimited at 110 Market Ave for more info. Learn more
