The ovens at Carmella’s Pizza Parlor aren’t fired up yet, but the recipe testing is already underway. Chef Zak Disch, founder of the beloved Z’s Pizza, has been dialing in the perfect cheese blends using the ovens at 28 Songs Brewhouse + Kitchen while construction continues on the new space.
The new parlor, created by 28 Songs owner Don Kretz with Chef Disch in the kitchen, is bringing a nostalgic, family-friendly pizza spot to 110 Market Ave on Boerne’s north side.
We even got a sneak peek taste test (seven cheeses, lots of pizza), and let’s just say… Boerne is going to be very happy when those ovens officially fire up.
