Spring Break is almost here, and Boerne is packed with ways to keep kids active, curious, and entertained. Sponsored by our partners at Platinum Pediatrics, our guide features everything from outdoor adventures and treasure hunts to movie nights and hands-on activities.

When your child spikes a fever late at night and you’re wondering if it’s ER-worthy, having the right guidance matters. Platinum Pediatrics, tucked just off South School Street, is a pediatric practice serving infants, children, and adolescents with high-quality, accessible care.

Led by Dr. Mark Rodkey, board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine with more than 30 years of experience, the practice is home to the only board-certified Pediatric Emergency Physician in Boerne. Their direct care membership model includes in-office visits, phone, text, and telemedicine access, giving families support that’s proactive instead of reactive.

THE CREEK RESTAURANT IS CLOSING

We regret to inform you that a Boerne staple is closing its doors, The Creek Restaurant. You can find a message from the owners here.

March 14th will be the last day, so make sure you go grab some of that Creamy Poblano Soup before it’s gone forever!

Termites are a real issue in the Hill Country, especially in older homes and historic buildings around Boerne. In fact, the building at 127–133 S. Main (home to La Te Da and Pixie) recently needed serious termite treatment.

Our new partners at Elite Exterminating Inc. stepped in and handled the job with structural fumigation, one of the most effective ways to eliminate deep infestations.

Elite is one of only a handful of companies in Texas licensed to perform this type of work statewide. They’ve been protecting homes and buildings across the Texas Hill Country for more than 35 years, and you’ll often find them working right here in Boerne helping preserve some of the town’s historic structures.

DID YOU KNOW BOERNE WATER IS CLASSIFIED AS “EXTREMELY HARD?”*

Boerne’s water contains high levels of minerals like calcium and magnesium, which can lead to scale buildup, soap scum, and extra wear on appliances over time. Our partners at Aqua-Man Water Conditioning have helped local families for more than 30 years improve water quality, protect plumbing, and cut down on maintenance costs. Learn more

THE BOERNE HOUSING MARKET HAS SHIFTED

Over the past few years, the local real estate market has quietly changed, and our partner Charley Wasson with Sunflower Real Estate just broke down the numbers from recent MLS data in Boerne and Fair Oaks Ranch.

Inventory is up more than 50%, homes are taking longer to sell, and buyers are negotiating more than they were a few years ago. But here’s the interesting part: home values haven’t collapsed. Prices have only adjusted about 6% from their peak, and homes are still selling.

What that means is the market has moved from a fast-moving seller’s market to something more balanced. Strategy, pricing, and preparation matter more than ever if you're thinking about selling.

If you’ve been wondering what your home might be worth or whether 2026 could be the right time to sell, Charley can walk you through exactly what’s happening in your neighborhood.

Call Charley Wasson at 210-478-8555 to talk through your options. You can read the blog post with further breakdown here.

Car show season is kicking into gear across Boerne, bringing everything from vintage tractors and muscle cars to sleek European performance vehicles. These events draw collectors, enthusiasts, and curious spectators who enjoy seeing some incredible machines up close.

Upcoming highlights include the Power of the Past show at the AgriCultural Museum, Cruisin’ for a Cause in Fair Oaks Ranch, the Italian Motor Gathering at Main Plaza, and the Hill Country Mile Rod Run later this year. Each event brings a slightly different crowd and lineup of vehicles.

THROWBACK THURSDAY

In 2024, Boerne experienced something special. When the local Little League team made an incredible run all the way to the Little League World Series, the entire town showed up to support them.
