IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Good morning, Boerne. Yesterday was Election Day, and you can view unofficial results here.

Inside today’s email:

  • The 7-year-old who waves at Boerne High School every day

  • A murder mystery night happening this Friday at Lost Oak Cellars

  • How a Boerne school resource officer is bringing wildlife into local classrooms

And a whole lot more. Let’s get into it!

Midweek rolls around, everyone’s hungry, and cooking is the last thing you want to deal with. That’s where our partners at Pioneers Meats come in. For $39.95, you can pick up a whole flame-grilled chicken that feeds a family of four, plus a large side of Portuguese rice or fries and a salad.

It’s hot, flavorful, and feels like a real dinner instead of another fast food run. Choose between lemon herb or peri peri if you want a little extra spice. They’ll even cut the chicken into four portions, and most orders are ready in about 15–20 minutes, making it an easy Wednesday night solution.

If you’ve driven through the Boerne High School pickup line in the afternoon, there’s a good chance you’ve seen Judah. For nearly two years, the 7-year-old has stood by the fence behind his house holding a sign and waving at passing cars. Every day, drivers honk back.

This week, Couture Floors is celebrating 20 years in business right here in Boerne.

Founded by longtime Boerne resident Jed Mazour and Dan Majetich, the company has grown into one of the Hill Country’s go-to spots for carpet, hardwood, LVP, tile, and custom shower work. And now, 20 years later, Jed’s 22-year-old son Hunter is working full time alongside him.

Two generations. Built in Boerne.

If the Mazour name sounds familiar, it should. While his twin brother Josh runs popular local restaurants and breweries, Jed has spent the past two decades helping Boerne homeowners design and upgrade their spaces from the ground up.

Located at 29157 I-10, Couture Floors offers free estimates, in-house design consultants, and a team that walks with you from selection to installation. Learn more about how they can help you here.

Lost Oak Cellars is hosting an interactive murder mystery night on Friday, March 6 from 7:00–10:00 PM, and everyone in the room becomes part of the story. Hosted by Baker Street Mystery, “Prom Gone Wrong” brings neon drama, outrageous characters, and a whole lot of clues to unravel.

Guests can sip wine, follow the storyline, and try to figure out who committed the crime before the night is over. It’s part theatre, part game, and a fun twist on a typical night out with friends.

If you’re into sports cards, collectibles, or just a little nostalgia, there’s a spot in Boerne you should know about. PrimeTime Sports Cardz is the town’s go-to shop for sports cards and memorabilia, with plenty to explore whether you’re a serious collector or just getting started.

From packs and singles to unique collectibles, it’s the kind of place where both longtime collectors and curious kids can discover the fun of the hobby. And who knows… it might even spark the next generation of card traders right here in Boerne.
