RIVULET UNEXPECTEDLY CLOSED
We Hope You Had a Chance to Try It Out

Friday, Rivulet Kitchen & Bar unexpectedly announced that it was their last weekend of business. This was the restaurant that shared space with Salvador Dobbs, across from the dam on River Road.
If you haven’t been, they had some really good upscale food and cocktails. Unfortunately, we had already sent out the Friday newsletter before they announced. That said our Boerne Life Plus members did get the update in the Saturday newsletter, so hopefully they got one last chance to try it before it was gone (you can get those special Saturday updates too!).
That said, there message DOES say “Goodbye, for now,” which might imply they aren’t gone for good. Not sure, but we’ll keep an ear out, and let you know if we get any updates.

CORNHOLE COMES TO HERFF ELEMENTARY
League Donates Custom Boards to Help Kids Shine in PE

Herff Elementary got a fun donation this week—a custom set of cornhole boards donated by the Texas Hill Country Cornhole League!
Principal Jennifer Hammond and Coach Travis Clark kicked things off with a quick match before students got their turn. Coach Clark shared that the boards will be used during their backyard games unit in PE, calling it a great way for kids who aren’t into traditional sports to shine.
The boards were donated by league organizer Keven London, in partnership with Jason Robinson of Five Claw Premium Cornhole Boards and Randal Strumm of CuStumm Design and Tees. Keven hopes to bring cornhole to more schools in Boerne and beyond!

This Is the Most Common Juvenile Offense Seen in Boerne Municipal Court
During last week’s City Council meeting, Municipal Judge Ed Phillips shared that vaping is now the most common offense among local middle and high school students. But instead of handing out fines or convictions, Boerne is taking a different approach. Through the Youth Diversion Program, first-time offenders can avoid court records by completing education, counseling, and community service—no guilty plea required.
The goal is to try to keep kids on track without sending them through the justice system.
