👉Your Easter Guide + Boutique Opening + Panda Express News

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Good morning, Boerne! Happy National Spinach Day. We’re going to go turn on Popeye for our son to celebrate. But before we do that, let’s get to the newsletter.

  • Where to find Easter egg hunts happening around Boerne

  • A new boutique opening that might upgrade your closet

  • Construction underway for a new Panda Express in town

And a whole lot more. Let’s get into it!

Boerne just landed the No. 2 spot for safest small town in Texas in a new 2026 report, recognized for low crime rates, strong community involvement, and an overall high quality of life. Kendall County also continues to stand out as one of the safest in the state.

If you’ve been thinking about making a move or selling your home, this is exactly the kind of momentum that matters. Charley Wasson of Sunflower Real Estate knows the Boerne market inside and out and can help you navigate neighborhoods, pricing, and what makes this area so desirable.

Easter is right around the corner, and Boerne has plenty of egg hunts to choose from this year. In fact, they get started this weekend! From the YMCA egg hunt to the annual hunt at Boerne Lake, we have several for you to choose from.

The meatball sandwich at Pizza Volterra isn’t just a sandwich, it’s a full-on meal. Packed with house-made meatballs, rich tomato sauce, loads of melted cheese, and bread that’s basically pizza crust, it’s one of those orders that easily feeds two… maybe even three.

Located at 605 S Main St in Boerne, this is the kind of spot that sells out fast, so ordering ahead is a smart move if you’ve got your eye on it.

Monkee’s of Fair Oaks is coming to Lemon Creek (Suite 115, right next to Jersey Mike’s) with a target grand opening in mid-August. Known for curated designer clothing, shoes, and accessories, the boutique brings a more elevated, personal shopping experience to the area.

Even better, it’s being opened by two Boerne locals, adding a hometown touch to the brand. More details are coming soon, including a look at the brands they’ll carry, but it’s safe to say closets around Boerne are about to get a little more full.

Construction is moving along on I-10, and Honda of Boerne is already building its team ahead of a summer 2026 opening. The dealership, owned by the family-run Pohanka Automotive Group (est. 1919), is hiring across multiple departments as they gear up for launch.

If you’re looking for a new opportunity or want to be part of something growing right here in Boerne, now’s the time to take a look.

Construction is underway for a new Panda Express in Boerne Town Center, with site prep already in progress. While there’s no official opening date yet, the visible activity shows things are moving forward and adding another quick dining option to the area.

Interestingly, a second Panda Express is also being built in Kerrville, showing how quickly the brand is expanding across the region. For now, it’s one more development to keep an eye on as Boerne continues to grow.

THROWBACK THURSDAY

There’s a Beef & Brew apron from 1982 hanging above the customer service area at Taylor’s Ace Hardware at 1313 S Main, and it’s not just for show. It belonged to Connie Hanks, who worked at the restaurant back in the day and still remembers it as “the best burgers in Boerne.” If you’ve been here long enough, you probably already know the reputation that place had.

It’s a simple reminder of how much history lives in the little details around town. Spots like Taylor’s Ace aren’t just places to shop, they’re run by locals with deep roots in Boerne, where stories like this still stick around decades later.
