Did You Capture Any of Last Night’s Rain Water?

DID YOU KNOW Boerne Lake hit its lowest level ever last fall?

Before last night’s rain, it was about 55% full—and the Trinity Aquifer is in Stage 4 drought, averaging 13+ feet below the March average.

And if you had a rain water harvesting system, you could have saved some of last night’s rain for future use.

UPDATE ON LEMON CREEK RANCH

Here’s What We Know Is Coming Across from H-E-B

When we announced Sprouts coming to the Boerne Town Center development last week, one of the most common follow-up questions we received was: do you know what’s coming to Lemon Creek Ranch across from H-E-B in Fair Oaks?

And the answer is, we do know… well, sort of!

After doing some digging, we found updated plans of the development that were posted back in January. Those plans show the following coming to Lemon Creek Ranch:

  • Marble Slab Creamery

  • Chase Bank

  • Pacific Dental Services

Fun fact about Marble Slab - they have a really good chocolate shake. And if you’re a Chase customer, this is good news, because currently the closest Chase location to Boerne is across from The Dominion.

There are still plenty of open spots in the development, and with this phase eyeballing a summer completion date, we expect to know what else is coming soon. So stay tuned!

NEW BAR + COFFEE + PIZZA SPOT IN SISTERDALE

Bar Is Open, Restaurant Coming Soon

HAVE YOU BEEN TO THE DOUGH JOE?

They've had a very successful location for quite a while in Bandera, and have now opened a new location right off the main strip in Sisterdale where the historic Sisterdale Saloon was once located.

Currently the bar is open on weekends, but the full restaurant is set to open as soon as they get their kitchen squared away. If all goes well, we believe thy should be fully operational by summer.

CHAMPION HIGH UIL YOUTH FEST WINNER

A big shoutout to Champion High School’s own Emma Barrazza, who just became a back-to-back State Champion at the UIL Youth Film Festival!

Her 2024 film “Lost and Found” wowed the judges, and this year she did it again with a traditional animation titled “Baked with Love.” Emma’s not stopping there—she also earned a spot at the upcoming VASE state competition this April. Boerne’s got talent, and we’ll be cheering her on!
