Brewing Beer for a Cause: The Crusader’s Kƶlsch

28 Songs Brewhouse just kicked off their latest community giveback brew—Crusader’s Kƶlsch—with help from SAM’S Kids Student Foundation!

This special beer honors the legacy of the Boerne Crusaders Club, a group that spent 50 years improving Boerne through scholarships, mentorship, and community projects. Though the club disbanded in 2019, its mission continues through SAM’S Kids, which helps local students overcome financial hardship and reach their full potential.

Big shoutout to Tracy Yelverton (Boerne Auto Supply/NAPA) and Brian D’Spain (Security State Bank & Trust), who rolled up their sleeves and helped mash in the brew! When the beer is ready, $1 from every pint sold will go directly to SAM’S Kids.

What’s better than drinking great beer and giving back to a great cause? Stay tuned for the release of Crusader’s Kƶlsch at 28 Songs! šŸŗšŸ’™

Fun, freebies, and community connections

Looking for something fun (and free!) to do with the kids this weekend? Don’t miss the Outdoor Family Fair happening Saturday, March 22 from 10 am to 2 pm at Main Plaza.

Hosted by Boerne Parks & Rec, this event brings together local organizations offering resources, giveaways, and games for families. It’s a great way to connect with the community, enjoy the spring weather, and keep the kids entertained.

This is one of our son’s favorite events, so we’ll definitely be out there!

The Boerne Bonus

šŸ  Go beyond homeowners insurance with a home warranty *

If you’re a homeowner, you know unexpected expenses are par for the course. One way to help shield your finances is to get a home warranty. Unlike homeowners insurance, which covers natural disasters and theft, a home warranty could help safeguard you against costly repairs of eligible essential home appliances and systems due to normal wear and tear. Check out Money’s list of the Best Home Warranties and take the sting out of appliance breakdowns.

šŸ„‹ Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Homeschool Classes

Have a child or grandchild who homeschools? Starting March 25th, Black Diamond Martial Arts will be adding Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes for homeschool, ages 5-12. Classes will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 - 3 PM. Highly recommend - it’s our family gym!

🚧 Road Closure Alert

There will be some major road closures at I-10 and 1604 throughout this weekend. So we recommend keeping it local. There’s so much to do here, why bother driving into San Antonio anyway?! 🤣
