Springtime in Texas means bluebonnets, and they’re beginning to appear around Boerne. Over the next few weeks the Hill Country will slowly turn into a sea of blue as these iconic wildflowers bloom along trails, parks, and open spaces throughout town.

After more than 20 years serving families in Boerne, Miss Constance is retiring from her role as Children’s Librarian at the Patrick Heath Public Library. Over the years, she has helped generations of kids discover the joy of reading through storytimes, events, and programs that made the library a welcoming place for families.

The community is invited to celebrate her incredible career at a retirement open house on April 13 from 9–11 AM at the Patrick Heath Public Library in Boerne. It’s a chance to stop by, say thank you, and wish her well as she begins her next chapter.

A community effort is underway to help provide shoes for local children in need. Organizers are collecting new and gently used kids’ shoes ahead of the Kids’ Shoe Drive and Distribution happening March 15 from 10 AM–2 PM in Boerne.
