THROWBACK THURSDAY

Back in 1997, a heavy flood unearthed 100-million-year-old dinosaur tracks at the Boerne Lake Spillway. Experts identified them as belonging to an Acrocanthosaurus—a stocky, fierce-looking relative of the T-Rex!

To preserve this incredible find, exact replicas of the tracks were cast and placed at the Cibolo Nature Center thanks to the Lende Foundation. Today, visitors can see them up close at the trailheads and imagine what once roamed these lands.
