INTRODUCING OUR NEWEST PARTNERS, HONDA OF BOERNE

You may have already seen construction taking shape along I-10, and now it’s official. Honda of Boerne is joining The Boerne Life as a partner as they work toward a summer 2026 opening.

Honda of Boerne broke ground last year and is owned by the Pohanka Automotive Group, a family-owned company that’s been around since 1919. As we’ve reported, they’ve been working closely with the City of Boerne throughout the development process and are already hiring ahead of opening.

We’ll be sharing occasional updates as construction continues and as they build their team locally.

Boerne’s German heritage continues to thrive through Das Festival of Kendall, returning to Main Plaza Father’s Day weekend for its third year. The event brings together families, local businesses, and first responders to celebrate culture while giving back in Kendall County. And this year we’re helping sponsor - you’ll see our name on the ticket booth!

BELLA SERA CONFIRMS MOVE IS STILL HAPPENING

If you’ve driven by Bella Sera’s future location and noticed the sign missing, you’re not the only one who had questions.

After checking in directly, it’s confirmed that the move is still on track, with plans to relocate to 904 N Main Street soon after Valentine’s Day. The sign has simply been moved inside as preparations continue. In the meantime, Bella Sera is hosting a special Valentine’s dinner at its current location.

IS A BLIZZARD FROM DQ THE BEST POST-WORKOUT RECOVERY OPTION?

There’s a viral post floating around claiming Dairy Queen Blizzards beat chicken and rice for muscle growth, citing a supposed Harvard and Mayo Clinic study showing a 43% spike in muscle protein synthesis.

*Let’s just say… that sounds a little suspicious.

Real results still come from showing up and putting in the work.

Our partners at Hill Country CrossFit, tucked just off I-10 near Johns Road, offer coached workouts for every level. Whether someone is brand new, getting back into it, or training consistently, every workout can be scaled to their ability.

Parents can even bring the kiddos to the gym, and first-timers can try a class free on Saturday mornings.

Train hard. Eat smart. Enjoy a Blizzard if you want. Just maybe not as your supplement strategy.

Visit them at 37131 I-10 or click to learn more.

For many longtime residents, the Plaza Theater was more than a movie house. It was a Friday night tradition and a glowing landmark on Main Plaza. Thanks to reader Sammy Zoeller for compiling these photos.
