👉 Christmas Selfie Spots + Gelato Bar + Local Teen Author

Good morning, Boerne. Today is National Roof Over Your Head Day. I’m not even sure what that means, but it seems like the natural time to mention our sponsors at Wilson Roofing & Renovations. So if you haven’t had your roof checked out in recent history, contact them for a free inspection! Okay, on to today:

  • The best Christmas selfie spots in town

  • Epicure’s surprise gelato bar reveal

  • The Boerne Life limited edition ice cube trays are here

  • A brand-new Holiday Community Drive making a real impact

  • This local Boerne teen has published 4 children’s books

And a whole lot more. Let’s get into it!

Last week, we asked if y’all would be interested in a custom Boerne Life Texan ice cube kit, and the response was overwhelming. So we got together with our friends at rOks and made it happen.

Introducing the Limited Edition Boerne Life Bundle, a custom-branded rOks silicone tray paired with six Texas-themed inserts (boot, longhorn, cactus, star, horseshoe, and the state of Texas). Just fill, freeze, and pop out perfectly designed Texas cubes that instantly elevate any cocktail, mocktail, or iced coffee.

This is a one-week-only preorder, and every bundle is guaranteed to arrive before Christmas as long as you order by December 10. If you're someone who loves Boerne, this is for you. It's also the perfect gift for other locals, new residents, or anyone who loves a little Hill Country flair.

The Boerne Life Plus members are getting access to a 15% off promo code, so if you’ve been thinking about joining, now’s the time.

Boerne knows how to serve up those holiday vibes — twinkly trees, glowing downtown corners, and more photo ops than your camera roll is ready for. From decked-out storefronts to brand-new installations, this lineup features the best spots to grab everything from family portraits to quick selfies.

Boerne really does feel like a live-action Hallmark movie. These spots are the proof.

THIS SANDWICH CAUGHT OUR MOUTH ON FIRE AND BLEW OUR MIND 🥵🤯

Listen, if you like spicy, change whatever plans you have today and head to Pioneers Meats & International Deli at 312 River Rd.

The chicken sandwich (choose peri-peri sauce) is simply out of this world.

Over the last couple weeks we've tried all their dried meats, the sausage rolls, the classic breakfast sandwich, the pepper steak pie, the family meal (yes, a full family dinner to-go!) and more. I know... that's a lot ha!

And we simply can't recommend this spot enough. Learn more about them here.

Epicure quietly flipped the script — their old deli space is now a colorful gelato bar serving scoops, homemade horchata, and grab-and-go sandwiches. Their strawberry cream? Love it.

It’s all tied to their lunch service moving to the new full restaurant on Staffel St, leaving room for this sweet upgrade on Main. If you've been wondering what replaced the deli… this is your sign to go try it.

FREE WORKOUT AT FREE ROAM THIS SATURDAY 💪

Hill Country CrossFit is hosting a free workout at Free Roam Brewing this Saturday, December 6 at 9 am. The class takes place in the beer garden and is a great way to sample HCCFIT’s training style — HYROX-inspired, approachable, and open to all fitness levels. Kids are welcome, and no registration is needed.

If you’re curious what the workouts look like, we linked a quick preview in the post.

Water Restrictions: Stage 2

Yesterday at the Boerne Farmers Market, we met a local 16-year-old who began writing a series of children’s books at age 12! She writes them, and here mother, Alicia, illustrates them. It’s called The Book of Ellie Series, which is based off her real life troublemaking dog.

We picked up the first book in the series and read it to our son last night. He liked it so much that he snuck it later in bed to read again when he was supposed to be sleeping!

You can order her books here on Amazon. Great way to support a local teen who is going places and would make an excellent Christmas present!
