IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

This is The Boerne Life, the newsletter that has a trivia answer for you: the first Public Library was located in the fire house, which at the time was located near the old pool/Ye Kendall Inn. Most of you chose “The Dienger,” which was actually the 3rd location of the library. More on that in a future edition! 😀
Here’s what we have for you today:
4 car shows this fall (starting this weekend)
Gone but not forgotten
Burn ban on
Wanderlust Wednesday: staycation edition
Things to do TODAY

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN TOUR RETURNS
More Actors Needed

The Gone But Not Forgotten Tour is coming back to the Boerne Cemetery on Saturday, October 25, for a morning of local history brought to life. About a dozen Boerne actors will portray notable figures from the city’s past, performing in period costume at their actual gravesites.
Actor Jay Pennington, who’s taken part for several years (including as Wyatt Earp’s friend Fred Dodge), says they’re still looking for a few more actors to join this year’s lineup.
Tours start at 10:15, 10:45, and 11:15 am, and admission is free thanks to the Genealogical Society of Kendall County, the Patrick Heath Public Library, and Boerne Parks and Recreation.
➡️ If you’re interested in acting or helping out, reach out to Jay Pennington on Facebook or contact the Genealogical Society.
Thanks to our friends at Boerne Radio for the assist on this story. Make sure to tune in to them at 103.9 FM!

THE BOERNE BUZZ
Pizza Volterra Keeps Selling Out: Reserve Yours Before 6*
Boerne can’t get enough of Pizza Volterra’s authentic taste of Tuscany, and they’ve been selling out most nights lately. Since their dough is made fresh daily, they can only make about 100 pizzas and panuozzos a day.
So here’s our recommendation: to snag yours, order before 6 pm and check their online menu for updates once dough runs low. Open Tues - Sat, 11 - 9.

Wanderlust Wednesday: A Staycation on Main Street

You don’t have to go far for a weekend escape — this charming renovated home sits right on Main Street in Boerne. The property shares the site with The Weyrich Building, one of Boerne’s true landmarks and the oldest commercial stone building in Kendall County, dating back to the 1870s. (Fun fact, it’s located right next to The Den Premium Men’s Salon, where we get our haircut!)
Spend the day wandering the Hill Country Mile’s shops, breweries, and restaurants, then unwind with a drink on the wide front porch or under the shaded pergola out back.
It’s small-town comfort with Main Street energy — the perfect Boerne staycation.
