Boerne may be known for its charm and history, but some locals say there’s a spooky side to town, too. From The Kendall Inn and The Dienger to the historic Theis House, these eight locations have collected plenty of ghost stories and unexplained encounters over the years. Pasted text
And if that has you in the mood for more, Boerne Ghost Tours return in October with 90-minute walking tours through downtown, presented by The Boerne Life. Tours run every Saturday in October, plus November 7 and 14. Pasted text

Singing Water Vineyards is hosting a family-friendly Star Party on Friday, October 9, with stargazing, astronomy presentations, and a chance to explore the night sky with the Kendall County Friends of the Night Sky. Food and beverages will be available from 5–9 PM, so guests can arrive early, enjoy dinner, and catch the Hill Country sunset.
The astronomy program begins at sunset around 7:11 PM, with Saturn, Venus, seasonal constellations, and deep-sky objects like the Andromeda Galaxy and Ring Nebula expected to be part of the evening’s viewing. Telescopes and binoculars will be available, and a constellation tour will help bring the stories behind the stars to life.

Located right here in Boerne, Genesis offers counseling services for individuals, couples, families, teens, and children through a team of experienced licensed clinical providers. They also provide support for anxiety, trauma, grief, parenting challenges, marriage counseling, autism assessments, and more.
What stood out to us most is their heart for the community. Genesis partners with local churches, schools, nonprofits, businesses, veterans, first responders, and families across the Hill Country to help make trusted mental health support more accessible and approachable.
Led locally by Jen Belz, LPC, Genesis combines professional clinical care with a faith-informed foundation centered on hope, healing, and growth. We also see Jen and her husband out supporting local events and organizations around Boerne all the time, which says a lot about how invested they are in this community.
