We’re going to be honest with you on this one… we never really believed in ghosts. But since we started The Boerne Life and have been meeting more people around town and listening to their stories, we’ve heard MANY stories of local hauntings from credible people. So read the story to find out about 8 spots in town that people say are haunted!

After a summer of storms followed by another dry spell, it’s a good reminder of how valuable every drop of water really is.

With the City of Boerne offering a $150 rebate for installing a rainwater system, now’s the time to get ready before the next storm.

Our partners at Hammer Next Level Excavation design and install complete rainwater harvesting systems — tanks, pumps, trenching, and more. Family-owned and operated by firefighter Brian Hammer and his crew, they bring hard work and Hill Country know-how to every project.

The internet has found its newest viral star — and she’s from right here in Boerne. Brittany Taylor, daughter of Chris Taylor of Taylor’s Ace Hardware, showed up to the Jonas Brothers concert in San Antonio dressed as The Lorax and ended up getting pulled on stage by The All-American Rejects.

The moment blew up online, earning hundreds of thousands of views and even a repost from the band themselves.

Hints of fall and the thrill of wingshooting awaits you in the beautiful Texas Hill Country! Whether you're a seasoned pro or new to the sport, JCR’s expert guides are there to ensure an unforgettable experience amidst stunning landscapes filled with quail, pheasant, chukar, and mallard ducks for both world-class upland hunting and driven shooting.

And this weekend on October 25th, don’t miss their Open Line Driven Shoot with ducks in the AM and high-volume pheasants in the PM!

Boerne Champion Water Polo Teams Advance to State Tournament

Both the Boerne Champion boys and girls water polo teams are headed to the UIL State Tournament after winning their regional finals over the weekend.

The girls took down Harlan 10–2, while the boys followed with a dominant 17–4 victory. It marks the second straight state appearance for the girls and the fourth consecutive trip for the boys since UIL began sanctioning the sport in 2022.

The state semifinals take place Friday at the Josh Davis Natatorium in San Antonio, with the boys facing League City Clear Creek at 11:30 am and the girls playing Clute Brazoswood at 1 pm.

Hounds Make Boerne Proud in Regional Finals 🎾

What a season for the Boerne High School Tennis Team! After an incredible playoff run, the Greyhounds fell just short in the regional final to Flour Bluff, 10–8, but not before earning their place among the Top 8 teams in Texas and the title of Regional Semifinal Champions.

Earlier, Boerne topped Champion High to advance to regionals, finishing the season 17–2 overall — another standout year for one of the state’s strongest tennis programs.

SIGNARAMA SAN ANTONIO NW CAME IN CLUTCH FOR US 🙌

We’ve got to give a huge shoutout to Matt Mattingly of Signarama San Antonio NW, who absolutely saved the day at last week’s Boerne Chamber Pickleball Tournament at Fair Oaks Ranch Golf & Country Club.

Just two days before the event, we realized our sponsor booth needed a little extra polish… and Matt made it happen. He and his team printed and delivered a beautiful branded The Boerne Life tablecloth in less than 48 hours (yes, really) and dropped it off himself at the tournament.

Matt and his team are the same folks behind the Hill Country Strong sign campaign that raised funds for flood recovery this summer — proof they care deeply about this community and always deliver when it counts.

All that said, we highly recommend Matt and his wife, Kelly, for all your signage needs. This isn’t a paid ad… we just had a great experience and think you should hear about their business!
