Law Enforcement Training Planned at Champion High School

Residents may notice an increased law enforcement and first responder presence at Champion High School on Friday, January 9, as agencies conduct a planned scenario-based training exercise. Hill Country Residents Score Win as Controversial Development Is Pulled

A proposed 1,100-home development in Comfort has been withdrawn after months of pushback from local residents. National builder Lennar Homes pulled its application with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, which would have allowed the discharge of treated wastewater into nearby creeks tied to the Trinity and Edwards aquifers.
