This building dates back to the early 1900s, when William Ziegler built it to open a hardware store on Main Street, with his family living upstairs. Over the years, it expanded, evolved, and changed hands as Boerne grew around it.

Today, it’s home to Laurie Saunders, with Before Your Eyes Interiors, The Sanctuary, and Texas Treasures Fine Art now occupying space that was once open ground. Upstairs, there are now offices.

Same building. More than a century of stories. We love Boerne history!

Standing more than 20 feet tall in front of the Ford dealership on I-10, Boerne’s giant cowboy is impossible to miss. His name is Buck, and while most people know him as a quirky local landmark, his story goes much deeper.

WATCH THE KENDALL COUNTY JUNIOR LIVESTOCK SHOW ONLINE

The Kendall County Junior Livestock Show is underway and can be streamed on YouTube. Good luck to all the participants. Boerne is a community invested in our 4-H program, and we have a lot of kids working hard all year long to raise their livestock!

Annually, each participant is allowed to sell one animal regardless of the placing of the show, with the money they earn at the sale helping to fund their higher education goals.

The auction will be held this Saturday with buyer registration beginning at 10 am and the auction beginning at 12:30 pm. More info on registration here.

The Boerne Life is welcoming Two Birds Outdoor Services, a family-owned company run by a local young couple, Emmitt and Bethany Samarripa. They handle lawn care, garden work, pressure washing, and those odd jobs most crews won’t take on, with a focus on doing things right, not rushed.
