Champion Defeats Boerne High in Boys Basketball

Last night, Champion was victorious against BHS, 58-36. The Chargers knocked down 13 three-pointers on the night, with Gavin Peck leading the way and finishing with 27 points. There was a great crowd to see the two local high schools square off.

What started as a flood recovery effort turned into a journey spanning more than 16,000 miles.

After the July 4 Guadalupe River floods, volunteers with Found on the Guadalupe River recovered thousands of personal items. One of those items, a suitcase belonging to a former Heart of the Hills camp counselor now living overseas, couldn’t easily be returned through traditional shipping.

Boerne volunteer Teri Hauger offered a simple solution: she carried the suitcase to New Zealand herself. Read our story here
