SCHOOL CLOSURES ANNOUNCED FOR MONDAY DUE TO EXTREME COLD

Weather is changing plans across Boerne today.

Boerne ISD has announced that all district offices and schools are closed today, January 26, 2026, due to extreme cold and the potential for icy conditions. All after-school activities scheduled for Monday have also been canceled or postponed.

Monday Trash Pickup in Boerne Postponed

No trash pickup today. That means everyone’s schedule shifts a day. So if your day was today, it moves to tomorrow. Tuesday moves to Wednesday, and so on.

Walmart on South Main Street Reopens After Bomb Threat Investigation

The Walmart on South Main Street was temporarily evacuated Saturday after a bomb threat was reported just before 1 p.m. Law enforcement agencies responded quickly, conducted a full search with the help of canine units and an FBI bomb technician, and determined there was no threat. The store has since reopened, and the investigation remains ongoing. Learn more

City Offices Closed Monday as Warming Center Reopens

City offices will be closed today, while the warming center at the Boerne Public Library is set to reopen. Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly and take advantage of available warming resources as cold conditions continue. Learn more
