BREAKING NEWS: WORK BEGINS ON NEW BAPTIST HOSPITAL CAMPUS 🚧

Wondering what’s going on across from Home Depot? After nearly four years of anticipation, site work has officially started for the new Baptist Health System hospital campus at the corner of I-10 and Highway 46, across from Whataburger and Home Depot.

Baptist first announced the $50 million project in late 2021, with plans for an acute care hospital, outpatient services, imaging and diagnostics, plus a medical office building for physician practices.

As of this week, crews are clearing the land. There’s no confirmed construction timeline yet, but we’ll share updates as soon as they’re available.

THE NATIVE BLENDS TO REBRAND AS BOERNE SIPS NUTRITION 🥤

Have you been to this smoothie shop? Well, The Native Blends has announced they’ll be closing this chapter in Boerne, with their San Marcos location continuing under the same name.

The East Hosack location will remain open under new ownership, rebranding as Boerne Sips Nutrition. The shop will close August 16–26 for construction, followed by a soft opening and then a grand opening with the Chamber of Commerce on September 6.

If the spot sounds familiar, it was originally Boerne Nutrition before becoming The Native Blends, and now it’s coming full circle with the original team taking back over.

🏫 New Catholic School Set to Open in Downtown Boerne

The community is invited today to celebrate the launch of the first new Catholic school in the surrounding area in over 30 years. Founding faculty, staff, families, parish and city leaders, and the Boerne Chamber of Commerce will gather for the ceremony at 11:30 am.

Classes for the inaugural 100 students will begin in the Parish Family Life Center while construction continues on the $28.5 million campus, which will serve grades PK3–6 with a future middle school planned. More info here.

🚗 Honda of Boerne Launch $25K Flood Relief Match

Pohanka Automotive Group and Honda of Boerne have announced the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund to aid families and businesses impacted by recent flooding. They will match all public donations dollar-for-dollar, up to $25,000, to help with temporary housing, repairs, and replacing lost belongings.

Donations can be made at this link, with every dollar doubled to maximize impact.
