Boerne Community Theatre is calling on dancers, jugglers, singers, ventriloquists, magicians—and anyone who loves being in front of a crowd—to audition for the 9th Annual Hill Country’s Got Talent showcase.

Auditions will be held Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17 at the BCT Academy, located directly behind the theatre at 113 S. Plant St. Each act gets 5 minutes on stage, and cash prizes are up for grabs at the live competition in October.

BOERNE BIERFEST 2025 OFFICIALLY CANCELED

Organizers have announced that unfortunately, the 2025 Boerne BierFest has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. Ticket holders will be contacted via the email or phone number they used to purchase tickets with information on refunds or donating to the Hill Country Council for the Arts.

The homebrewing competition is still happening, with entries due by August 2. Questions? Email [email protected].

CARDBOARD WANTED FOR THE HERFF FARM TEACHING GARDEN

Got a growing stash of cardboard boxes? The Cibolo Center’s Teaching Garden will gladly take them! They’re building new garden beds—including a fresh herb garden—and plain brown cardboard is perfect for blocking weeds and feeding the soil.
